Sean Ahern Ltd. have been in the electrical contracting business since 1956.

Founded in Cork by Sean Ahern it quickly gained a reputation for efficient and quality workmanship and excellent service to clients. It soon became a highly respected company with the local consulting engineers, architects and main contractors. As Cork grew, so did the company, expanding into the new industrial and pharmaceutical sector and extending its geographical reach to complete work throughout Munster. In the early 2000’s, the running of the company was taken over by Sean’s sons, Michael & Thomas.

The company has a loyal & dedicated workforce of over 140 electricians, instrument technicians, apprentices and office support staff who are professional, efficient and courteous. We have a great understanding of our clients needs and are committed to maintaining the highest standard of workmanship. A testament to this is the fact that over 90% of our business is either repeat business or due to referrals from existing clients or consultants.
Sean Ahern Ltd has always been a hotbed for GAA talent, and used to field inter-firms football and hurling teams. Cork GAA stars such as Shane Murphy, Eoin Cadogan, Paudie O’Sullivan as well as Donal Og Cusack, Conor Cusack and Mick O’Donovan, have worked for the well-known electrical contracting firm in the past.
